You know your material. Delivery is the challenge.
You know your subject. You have rehearsed the deck. Still, in the room you rush, over-explain or lose your thread, and the message does not land the way it should.
Most training polishes the script. This mentoring works on three things together: how you hold yourself under pressure, how you deliver, and how the message is built.
Three parts, working together
Original steel sculpture, Elio Haddad
Confident Presence
Techniques from NLP and hypnotherapy support the emotional side of speaking. We work on how you respond to pressure, alongside the message and delivery, so you can put your preparation to use.
Delivery and presence
Structure, voice, pauses, posture and reading the room as you speak. How you enter, hold the floor and close.
Message design
Shaping what you say around the decision your audience has to make, in words that leave no room for ambiguity.
As a sculptor, I also pay attention to presence and physical form. Posture and stance are part of the work.
Who this is for
Built for
- Executives preparing for a board presentation or a high-visibility update
- Founders raising capital or presenting to a board for the first time (investor pitch preparation)
- Senior leaders stepping into a bigger role: a promotion interview, a first keynote, a first major media appearance
- Leaders who present in English as a second or third language
- Teams preparing for a specific event: a conference, a funding round, a product launch (team programs)
How it works
Let's talk
A 30-minute video call. You tell me what you are preparing for. We look at where it breaks down (message, delivery or presence) and what to work on first. You leave with a clear next step, whether or not we work together.
The program
It starts with a package of 10 weekly 45-minute sessions and can extend as needed, built around your actual event, not a generic curriculum. An evaluation at the start and a closing evaluation show what changed. Both are included.
The moment
You walk in prepared in a way rehearsal alone does not give you. Sessions can continue after the event, for the next one on your calendar.

Hello, my name is Rodolph Abu Nassar. I'm the Chief Technical Officer at Idarat Group, a leading technology company in Saudi Arabia. And this is my feedback for the coaching experience I had with Elio Haddad.
I started with Elio a few weeks ago and had a few sessions. I never heard of him before. I was consulting ChatGPT to see who could provide such a course to help with communication, public speaking, and strategic communication, and I found a few names, had a few interviews, but I selected Elio.
I selected him basically because he jumped right into it, trying to find the issues and the gaps. From his questioning, he had a smart approach to identify where the problems are, where some hidden gaps were, that even I wasn't aware of. And it was this smart questioning that made me choose to work with him. And eventually I was right, because he kept on finding these issues, and his approach was pragmatic. It's kind of engineering. And for us as an engineering company, this is our culture, so it resembles us. This is what we do with our own customers: we try to find where the issues are on the technology side, and we try to understand the customer's pain and how we can help them, basically treating them as human, not just as numbers.
And the smart part also is where he provided solutions, and the solutions were actually easy to implement, and were pragmatic. He did not overwhelm me with a lot of ideas. We live in an era now where information is a bit too much, and we hear the term "death by data." There's lots of information out there. Elio was picking, for every problem, two or three solutions that were right on the spot and easy to implement.
And he did not just throw a course at me. I mean, lots of courses are good today, but they're not tailored to every person. He did not stop at any limits or boundaries. He just made things up as we moved on, identifying additional gaps and then finding more solutions. And he also gave me a few exercises to help in the long run, when he's not around.
So that's my feedback for Elio. And thanks again, Elio, for the great job. We'll be working together again soon. Thank you.

Common questions
What is communication mentoring?
People often search for help with leadership communication. I call my work communication mentoring because we work directly on your real material, identify the gaps and practise specific changes together. The focus is your message, delivery and presence for an actual event.
What is Confident Presence?
Confident Presence is the part of the method focused on being comfortable in the room and holding it. Techniques from NLP and hypnotherapy support practical work on how you respond to pressure, alongside message and delivery. The focus is communication, not clinical treatment.
What is Lead by Speaking?
Lead by Speaking is the communication mentoring practice of Elio Haddad. It helps executives, founders and senior leaders prepare for board presentations, investor pitches, keynotes and interviews, online and one to one.
Who is this for?
CEOs, founders, board members and senior leaders who know their material and need to be clear and confident in a defined high-stakes moment. It also suits leaders who present in English as a second or third language.
How is this different from a public speaking class?
A class usually works on the script and the delivery technique. This mentoring also works on how you hold yourself under pressure and on how the message is built around the decision your audience has to make. The three parts are worked on together, around your real event.
What happens in the first call?
It is a 30-minute video call. You describe what you are preparing for. We look at where it breaks down (message, delivery or presence) and what to work on first. You leave with a clear next step, whether or not we work together. Let's talk, book your call.
What does the mentoring program involve?
The program starts with a package of 10 weekly 45-minute sessions and can extend as needed. It is built around your actual event rather than a generic curriculum. An evaluation opens the work and a closing evaluation ends it, both included. Between sessions you get practical exercises.
Can this help with an investor pitch or a board presentation?
Yes. Sessions can focus on the structure of the pitch, the delivery under pressure, and how you handle difficult questions from investors or board members.
Can this help with filler words and unclear delivery?
Yes. We work on pace, pauses and structure, so your message is easy to follow and your delivery sounds deliberate.
Is it online, and in which languages?
Yes. Sessions are online by video, scheduled across time zones, in English, Arabic or Brazilian Portuguese. No one needs to travel.
Do you work with teams and organizations?
Yes. I run tailored group sessions for leadership teams, founders and speakers preparing for a defined event, in person at your headquarters. A short strategy audit of 2 to 3 hours comes first.
What does it cost?
Fees upon request.
What results can I expect?
Results depend on the person and the event. What you can expect is a clear read on where you stand, a plan built around your event, two or three practical fixes at a time, and a closing evaluation that shows what changed.
Is this the same Elio Haddad who makes sculpture?
Yes. Elio Haddad is also a sculptor, and the art is at eliohaddad.com. The communication mentoring is at leadbyspeaking.com.
